The Healing Garden for Cedar Sinai Medical Center is designed by a famous architecture firm AHBE Landscape Architects. Calvin Abe, RLA, and Fasla lead the project in the air of AHBE Landscape architects. They executed everything from designing the concept of the project to administering it expertly thus making this architecture a success.

This is an excellent example of landscape architecture that inspires people to contemplate and reflect on life. The evocative landscape of this Healing Garden has a therapeutic effect on patients, hospital staff as well as the family members, and friends of the patients.

The Unique Approach That Makes The Structure Both Beautiful And Feasible

The Unique Approach modifies a basic plaza made of concrete to become a restorative space in the city. The concrete plaza stands tall with multi-level garage space underneath it. The structural and the mechanical integrity of the architecture are protected by the multi-layered landscape solutions. It accounts for an already established emergency access, drainage system, lighting in addition to extreme weather conditions. As a solution, an extraordinary plan of a green roof was added to the existing structure of the building. The solution hence minimized any further modification to the structure and maximized the impact of the landscape.

The Logical Approach To Overcome Several Structural Limitations

The terraces of this structure were not used for numerous years. The architects aimed at these isolated places and transformed them. They altered the facade of the structure by incorporating a liveable and breathable space.
The construction was redefined by introducing four separate garden areas. They were named Garden of Whimsy which aimed at uplifting the spirituality of human beings. The three other gardens are the Education Garden, Plaza Garden, and Blue Garden respectively.

The Serene Beauty Of The Construction

The garden also showcased a sculptural pavilion. This was designed by Ball Nogues Studios. When the surging planters are illuminated at night it creates a surreal aesthetic ambiance in the environment. It gives a scenic view to the patients in the medical center.

The astounding design of the pavilion brings together the beauty of the landscape and creates a visually appealing experience for the visitors.
