Studio Norrlandet’s goal with Koster was to create a collection of outdoor furniture that would withstand the most rigorous load and durability tests—

while also looking like something that founders Jari and Anna Visuri would want in their own garden.

If it could withstand strong winds on top of an apartment building, the furniture was also put to the test.

Skargaarden wanted a design that was comfortable, uncomplicated, beautiful, and simple, “said Jari Visuri, co-founder and CEO of Skargaarden.

“Chairs that are comfortable to sit in, even when there are a lot of them crammed around the table.”

When they did this, they came up with the Koster collection. It includes a chair with UV-resistant rope seats and backrests, as well as three tables in three different sizes.

The pieces share a common Swedish sensibility with the rest of Skargaarden’s products and can be left outside all year.
